the plate is a special order from europe. pretty expensive stuff.

 

I never thought I would own a Prius but I saw a spectra blue one a month or two back and I fell in love with it. Finally decided to sell my truck and get it. Lost quite a bit of money on the trade in but I think it was worth it. Now I just have to get the courage to allow my wife to drive it when I'm not around.

WATCH FOR BRAKE LIGHTS AHEAD There's so much to see and do in the cockpit of our Prii, it's easy to forget we are on the road! Nothing but <grins> here.

Too bad I didn't see that before I purchased my Garmin friction mount ($25 on amazon). It does hold fast to the dash though and as you say no tell tale signs that a GPS is in the vehicle when stashed.

I just bought a 2008 Prius. The dealer
"scammed" me for the 100,000 mile warranty, for $1645. Any advice on what to do?

When did you buy the car? I would go to the dealership and tell them you do not want it. Most have a time limit. But if not usually you can cancel them and get a refund of what you didnt use, in your case I would think all of it.

 

Just thought I would say "hi" to you. I got my Prius Saturday and will take pics asap. Hope it doesn't make me a bad mom that my baby will be 3 day old and still no pics.

 

I hate that feeling. I kinda lucked out since I did a contract while the car was still on the boat and had to come in to re-contract once it arrived at the dealership (nearly 3 weeks later). Knowing the first contract was going to be trashed, I let the high pressure "finance" guy put in whatever he wanted including pre-pay service and the warranty. When I went in to re-contract. I had them take it all off. I would go in and talk to the manager and say you were strong armed. Worth a try.

Bought it from a Toyota dealership on Friday. It was the only Prius they had, new or used. It was on their lot less than 24 hours. Others were lined up to buy this if I hadn't. I've been looking for one of these for months. I paid 19K out the door. Smart key is cool. I'm happy.

I recently visited my dealer in Williamsburg and they confirmed that they are on a 3 month waiting list for new Prius - they even sold a rental Prius off their lot and suggested I could re-sell my almost new baby for a profit . . . as if I would!
