Just drove home in my Black 2008 Prius Package 2. Picked it up at noon and drove back to Gainesville from Jacksonville, well worth the drive. It has an appointment for some tint on Wednesday. Can't wait to drive around some more.
i went in the beginning of may. there was nothing in the southeast distribution area, so the next shipment came in the following week and they got my name on the car. they originally said it would be here on thursday, but luckily it came in saturday. i couldn't pick it up until today. so i had to wait a couple weeks.
Congrats! Perhaps we'll see you around Gville...the Prius is the perfect car for the roads around here...

Thanks for the pics. I've been looking for good, large, real life pics of a stock, Black GenII. These are the first I've found with stock wheels. I was supposed to get my Black 08 yesterday, but the train is apparently slow and I'm now hoping for next week.... at least some pics to look at will help tide me over... I'd be interested in seeing some offset and straight rear views. I think the Prius taillight colors look particularly cool on a Black Prius.

there was no waiting list. but i did have to wait. they just had to wait until an exact match arrived. which was only about a week, and it came a week early, so i was thrilled.
i have tint on it now, so it looks even better, i will have pictures later today probably. i hope to see some of the gainesville people out and about. maybe someday we can have a meet up and a drive.

modern as in the last century, yes. modern as within the last decade, no. its pretty much a spare of a spare. we would be hurting if we had to put it in service.
