I picked up my new driftwood pearl 2008, package 3 today. Traded in a 2004 camry XLE because I wanted to drive a "cleaner" car. Had looked at THC but was put off by the lower mileage and the fact that I couldn't get my "green" commuter pass for the NYS Thruway if I went with the camry. I have to say I was a bit nervous because I have driven a camry for the last 15 years. With no power seats in the Prius and that funky hatchback I was a bit nervous. But, it turns out that I love it! It's a fun car to drive and with the seat all the way back there is plenty of room. The back window actually has a lot of visibility too. With the backup camera parking is also simplified. All in all, I love it. Tomorrow I am putting in my "prius hood" over the MFD and will also be mounting my Garmin GPS on the dash. I'll post pictures as soon as I can. The weather here is rainy so I really can't get any pictures outdoors.
CONGRATULATIONS! welcome to the world of the prius! it's a great car and enjoy it thoroughly. learn to drive it correctly and the love will GROW!
prius12306, Great color choice. I believe Driftwood Pearl and Barcelona Red are the two best colors Toyota offers in the Prius. The Driftwood Pearl will not show dirt or grim and will not absorb much heat in the summer time. The Barcelona Red is just drop dead gorgeous with a bisque leather interior. Welcome to PC and the world of Prii!!!! Lots of good info and knowledge here.
Congrats and :welcome:! Driftwood is a very unique colour (best champagne/beige Toyota colour imo) and we need more Driftwood owners like you!
I saw another exact same color at the gym today. It was kind of freaky. There was also a new smart car in the lot today. I will post pics next week.
Congrats and Great color choice I also have the Driftwood Pearl as well... Although, it was not my 1st choice, I love it!!, It is very classy looking
Oh I love my Driftwood. Drifty has a lovely color that seems to hide dirt the best of all colors. I have the Wet Okole seat covers and I recommend you get Wheelskins as soon as possible. You can buy the Wheelskins here at PC Shop. The stock steering wheel is quite rough. Here's a shot of her with nicely tinted windows and the trim rings off:
:usa2:Welcome aboard and I agree very nice color choice. Add some pic's to the "Newbie Forum" when you can. Most of us do. :usa2:
