The LG VX 8300 will work, but you have to put in a max of 10 numbers to a group. Go to Verizon's site and do a search for compatibility. It pairs very easy.

Verizon wireless just introduced the LG enV2. I have 2008 Prius WITHOUT navigation system, so Bluetooth works thru audio. Any idea if the new LG will allow complete phone book transfer, rather than one at a time? How about other functions? I would like to upgrade phone asap. Thanks!

I have a 2005 Prius and a Samsung phone from AT&T. I can set up the car and type the code into the phone, but they do not recognize each other. Any ideas?

My wife's Motorola Razr v3x pairs fine plus has battery meter as does my HTC 8525.

We haven't had a bluetooth phone that didn't pair well with the Prius.

Yeah!! The Verizon LG enV2 works great!! I was able to transfer the entire phone book in about 10 seconds, even though my prius does not have the built-in navigation system.

FYI (at least on the enV2) the transfer is NOT through the phone's Bluetooth menu. Once the car's screen goes into "transfer" mode and prompts to transfer contacts from phone, go to phone's contacts list, select first contact, then select "options" for that contact. Option "0" (I think) is send vcard (or name card). Select and phone will prompt for send method. Select "via Bluetooth" and phone will prompt you to "mark" entries using the "ok" button. Just scroll through the contact list, mark each entry (checkmark in box to left of contact by hitting "ok"), then hit send (transfer) ....and voila!!!

If you want to add voice dialing via the Prius Bluetooth, you need to edit each of the car's contacts manually and record a "voice tag" for each.

I am now totally hands-free!! And, I LOVE the enV2 phone...nice comeback Verizon!!

Question: I have a Treo 600 [Verizon] and my 2008n Prius won't recognize it [nor would my previous 05 Prius]. I want to get a new phone -- presumably with Verizon -- but would really like it to connect with the Prius Bluetooth as CA law will forbid holding a cellphone starting July. Any info on which Verizon phones can be counted on to work with the Prius?
    Thanks

well if the rumors are true that verizon is buying alltel...

the LG scoop works perfectly. i sync'd my entire phonebook at once, it displays battery info, signal strength, everything.

the only thing the prius DOESN'T do is text... ;)

I own a 2004 Prius (55k and running like a charm!), fully loaded w/navigation. I'm wondering if the iPhone is compatible with the Bluetooth on my car. Currently I'm using the Motorola Razor V3, which works fine. Just looking to upgrade. I see Toyota does not list iPhone on their site as a model that works. I'm also wondering if there are any differences between my 2004 Bluetooth-equipped Prius and a 2008. Will there be compatibility issues with an older system and the new generation iPhone?

I can tell you that several Verizon phones that I have had worked fairly well with my '05 Prius. However, I am most impressed with the BB Curve that I am currently using. One difference is that on the other Verizon phones, the Prius Bluetooth took over completely and therefore there was no way I could find to use voice recognition. On the Curve, the Bluetooth does not cut in until the phone is dialing. So I can use Voice Recogniziton on the Curve to dial and the Bluetooth to talk and hear on the call. I have not tried moving a phonebook yet but I do not expect it to be able to do that.

T-Mobile Dash, Bluetooth, Toyota Prius 2007 -- compatible?

I have that configuration listed; has anyone been able to get that to work reliably? I've gotten it to work once only to have it stop working. it would work, but wouldn't stick. the next time i got in the car, it couldn't find the device.

I have a Verizon Blackberry 8830 and after I figured out how to do it, syncing the phonebook was easy.

On the MFD go to "Transfer Phonebook." The MFD will say 'Initiate Transfer" and the phone will say "Bluetooth connection with Hands Free Lost." On the BB go to Options / Bluetooth, select Hands Free (or whatever you've named the BT connection to the Prius) and select "Transfer Address Book" from the context menu. It took about 5 seconds to transfer 75 contacts. The Prius only accepts 2 numbers per contact so it will create multiple entries if a contact has more then two phone numbers.

I have a treo 650 as well (verizon) and was able to transfer the entire phone book contacts to my prius at one shot. I followed the instructions from the manual and it was a breeze. Took few attempts to make it clean. If you are unable to get it right, let me know and I will try reviving my gray matter memories on this install. Good luck!

    We'd like to dump AT&T.

    Does anyone have Credomobile?

And if so, the obvious question is will any of their phones work?

    Thanks,
    SS

I have a LG 8500 Verizon phone that seems to work fine with the bluetooth in my Prius.
