The headrest in the Prius is perfect if you are a 170 lb 5' 9" crash test dummy. If you are a 255 lb 6'5" dutchman like myself the headrest contacts the back of the head at an uncomfortable and dangerous angle. The Sienna headrest is much, much better.

As with any change or modification to your vehicle, you take your own chances. Don't come crying to me if break your neck in a car wreck.

well, I guess you have to fiddle around with the seatback angle and seat bottom to find a comfortable driving position. I really wished Toyota made a telescoping steering wheel for taller folks and/or adjustable pedals for the shorter folks. This minimal seat adjustment brings me back to our old Corollas from the 90s

Interesting thread on headrests! I wonder has anyone done any legwork to see if seats from other models are swappable? I find my Prius seats to be just "ok" and would like better ones.

Well I'm short and at my height I find the headrest a tad tall. The upper portion that should be at the middle of the back of my head sits closer to the top. I can only imagine in an accident my neck bending to follow the dip.

Hey Nate... I was wondering if you could tell me more about the monitor headrests?

I am now running around with headrests out of a 2004 Highlander. They are much more comfortable than factory.

So Nate, I take it that these 2004 Highlander headsets:
    1) Fit perfectly onto our 04-05 Prius' front seats
    2) Provide this added tilt adjustment which is abscent in our stock ones
    3) Match your Prius' interior cloth color perfectly (which color is yours?)

Do you have any P/N #? Have you changed just the driver side or both sides with these?

    Thanks.

    1. Fit perfectly into our seats YES
    2. Provide Tilt function (YES.. A slight tilt function)
    3. Color match perfectly (YES)
    4. Pattern match perfectly... NO!

I have an ivory interior; so is the Highlander, but the pattern is not quite right. I think the Corolla may be a better pattern match. (It would match the darker colored panels in the seat). I don't know if the headrests fit, however.

If you are doing leather, it is a perfect match.
