I would've chosen Spectra Blue Mica, but I decided to buy off the lot. I had the option of Black or Barcelona Red. The "Red One" came home with us. My wife is a redhead, our house is red, her car is a Salsa Red, my son's Fit is red and my mother's walker is red. I think I noticed a trend.
My brand-new Silver Pine Mica says a lot about my personality. It says I let my wife pick the color. The color is really growing on me, though.
I like red & dark red cars. I'm an "A" type personality. When I decided to buy a Prius it had to be Barcelona Red Metallic. Love the color & the car.
Just got my 2008 Seaside Blue, Package 6, over the weekend. I thought I wanted the Barcelona Red, but it was too orange-y for me in person. All that is missing is a moonroof - bummer. :drama: Otherwise, LOVE.
Super White... And I'm an extrovert. Did you know that the super white LOOKS BIGGER? Really... park next to one, sometime, and then stand back and just look... White is BRIGHT, NOTICEABLE, and flashy! And white was the only color that the dealer had on the lot when we wanted to buy one...
I have had white cars since 1990 . . . I told my hubby "no more white" - although a white prius truly is stunning! The green always caught my eye prior to buying one, so that's the color I fancied the most.
I gave the dealer my first 2 choices: charcoal or white. The first one they found (or traded a hybrid Camry for) was while. I still go back and forth on which color I like better. One thing I do know for sure and that’s that I hate the summer heat of Eastern Virginia, and white is cooler. Just touch (carefully) a white and then black car that have been sitting out in direct summer sun for an hour or so. The difference is tremendous. I let fate pick the color and I’m very happy with itJ
I saw Silver Pine Mica on the lot while I was negotiating on a Camry Hybrid. Fell in love with it. When Camry deal didn't work, and I decided financially a Prius was a better fit for me, Siver Pine Mica it was, nothing else would do (btw, I just couldn't get into any of the colors for the Camry Hybrid, they do have a nice aloe green, but it isn't avail on the hybrid). Sometimes I wonder if I talked myself into the Prius largely because of the color! Fernsmom
I got mine used and silver was what they had However, I have added striping and other decals so I definitely do NOT look like other silvers on the road.

I chose RED after my very first new car from many many years ago, a 1976 Capri II import.. Also, this was the color my wife wanted and it can be easily seen by other drivers.. Have had many vehicles with different colors since I started driving and came full circle with the purchase of my Prius back in Mar 08 (back to red). I drive conservatively so I should not be worried about getting pulled over for speeding because I am driving a little red car.. Love the car and color..
When mine arrives next week it will be Magnetic Grey - because of my magnetic personality. Seriously, though, it means I'm impatient - not willing to wait for the color I really wanted. But I've had two grey cars before - an '86 Acura that I LOVED and a '89 Camry Wagon that bored me to death. So grey will bring back mixed memories. I'm #2 on a waitlist for a second Prius for my wife, which will be Silver, White, or Red. But I'm souring on the Red - too orange, like someone else mentioned.
i can't explicitly state what my personality is... different facets shine in different angles of my life. black feels about right for my car color this time around.
You definitely need a pearlescent color that shows different colors from different angles. Come to think of it, a pearl white finish (similar to on some Lexuses) would look fantastic on a Prius.
My wife is into languages and is a full-blooded Italiana. She says the "Prius" name is a girl. (How does she know? ) ZC1 (I'm dating a Super White girlfriend, then.)
