I'm looking to buy a 2008 Prius in the Bay area and there are quite a few fees I'm not familiar with. Does anyone know what they paid (approximately) for the following fees: DOC fee CA Bay area sales tax % DMV fee smog fee? state tire fee? Thanks! ualdriver
DOC fee is a max. of $45 in CA, tax is the same as your county (8.75% for me in the east bay), DMV fees are license ($50?) and registration for the year (typically 0.667% of purchase price), no smog fee on a new car, tire fee is about $1.50-$3/tire. If these numbers aren't exactly right its in the ballpark
