    And the 301 redirect slowness is gone! Awesome! What solved
    that one, out of curiosity? So I know what to point admins at
    fixing next time I run into it...

    I basically avoided this site since I bought my car. I've been way too frustrated at how slow it is. It's much faster so expect to see me on a lot more. I'm on 10+ forums each day...

    Love the speed and new features. Thanks Danny.

    One question though. Lately I'll be going along fine then all of a sudden I will get a "unable to display the page " from IE7. So I try a couple of times and then try through Mozilla. This time Mozilla displays the site fine. Sometimes it doesn't. Anyone give me a clue as to what's going on and how I can, if possible, prevent this from happening. It really tics me off when it happens.

    I've had some pretty bad stalls tonight as well. Also a few during the week. It's too bad the paging timer is gone now, or I'd post the #s.

    I attribute it to moving from Apache 1.3 to Apache 2. Or it could just be the move from a 2 core processing system to an 8 core processing system.

    I'm not sure why you're seeing that problem, but thank you for reporting it. If it continues on a consistent basis and you're able to link it to any specific activity you're trying on the site, please let me know.

    I think there must be some server batch process that runs between 12:30am - 2am Eastern. I'll see if I can find out what it is and change the schedule.

    I really like how you can add friends and leave comments about them and post photo albums and stuff. Plus it is faster. I haven't had any lost threads yet but I haven't started many threads to begin with......
