I have the same amp and Cleansweeo installed in the cargo box. DO you have a problem w/ the amp getting too hot and shutting down the system? Do you have the amp powering the Cleansweep? My CLeansweep lights are out and I have no sound coming from the system.

No SSI? How do you connect the wires from the JBL amp to the DSP? Is the DSP set to 2-way or 3-way?

BTW, you might want to consider adding a fan (or two) in the hatch box to keep things cool back there.

I plug my iPod into the Aux port in the center console. Works just like it did before.

Except now I can hear the difference between CDs and MP3s. Hmph.

I don't have the JBL system in my car. What does the SSI do?

Right. That's my experience too. Apparently the Aux port in the center console causes quite a bit of sound loss.

If you're up to experimenting a bit, run a cord from your MP3 player into the hatch box and connect it to your Cleansweep's Aux port (with a noise isolator in between, of course). I think you'll hear a huge difference.

Keep in mind that using the Cleansweep's Aux port means you'll have to use its Remote Volume Control knob as well. Depending on where yours was installed (if anywhere at all), this could be an issue.

The SSI does signal summing. It's only needed if you have the JBL amp.

Does anyone know why there would be lound static in my system?

Actually it is not loss of sound. It is just that the new system reproduces stuff clearly enough to hear the difference. I can recognize that compression artifact.

    Ah, I see.

In my system the difference between plugging my MP3 into the Aux port and going through the Cleansweep is really pronounced.

But the difference between the CD and MP3 (through the Aux port) is not so much, mostly a less crisp sound, especially on the high end.

Thank you zenMachine, I am putting a Cleansweep in my car just for iPod integration. My aux port has an awful buzz

Not sure I understand. You're only getting the Cleansweep because of the noise in the Aux Port?

Hmm... Are you aware that there's a TSB on that problem? Check out the TSB sub-forum under the Maintenance forum. I posted that info there. You should bring your car in to have Toyota fix it for you regardless.

No I am using the cleansweep as part of the audio upgrade but will use the AUX on the cleansweep for the ipod integration. I will check out the TSB.
