Customers receiving delivery now placed their orders in November 2003, so looks like about an 8 month wait. Saleslady said mine would be a 2005 model, and that the price might increase a few hundred, but no changes were being made. She said they would call if any other folks on the list in front of me cancelled, but apparently that has not happened yet.
what number on the list are you? That's Leesburg Toyota? I'm trying to decide where to get on the list (suppose I could do more than one) -- a place with a long list or a short list? Longer lists ususally have more volume, so it's hard to compare.
Yah, I'm not sure where I am on the list now, I was 50 or so back in July, I'll call and post it here. I think that Tysons Toyota has higher volume though, but Leesburg is closer for me. I suppose you could get on two lists, but keep in mind you will need to pay $500 (refundable) at each.
I'd advise against Koons Tysons Toyota.....I went about 2 months ago and they were offering cars immediately at 3K over MSRP....beware!
Also, if you're looking for a car quick.....I'd recommend DARCARS in Silver Spring. I dealt with Otis Herring there and I got a car in one day at MSRP!

I just called the Leesburg dealership and the saleslady said I am about #60 on the list (I think her previous guess of 50 was more of a guess), and that customers placing orders in January are receiving theirs now. She also said Toyota has increased production.
Just got an update, should have delivery in february or maybe even late january. She said there are about 10-15 people in front of me still (although she also said 1 or 2, I think that was a mistake).
Leesburg Toyota just called me asking if I wanted to take deilvery on a Salsa Red BC#9 that some other customer cancelled on. I passed on it, red being probably my least favorite color. There are 1-2 customers ahead of me for the Tideland Pearl color, 10-15 total.
