Hello, Just purchased and received this from the Pruis Chat Store--while it looks fairly easy to install, any tip or tricks to help? Thanks, Chriscard25
Just clean the area good, so you can get a good stick. If you doubt you eye measurements use some masking tape for a guide before applying.
Hi Chris, I had two issues with the installation of the black rear bumper protector: 1. Centering the Bumper Protector: You should measure and mark the center of the bumper protector. You'll use that mark to try to line it up with the center of the bumper. The problem is trying to determine the center of the bumper --- with all its curves, it's hard to do. What I did was open the hatch and use the center latch hole as the deemed center of the bumper, with which to line up with the marked center of the bumper protector. See thumbnail photo below. 2. Bowing/Puckering of Bumper Protector Ends: About a week after installing my bumper protector, the ends of the bumper protector began to bow or pucker in the center. You can see the slight gap at the center of the ends of the protector where the protector no longer lies flat on or is in contact with the top of the bumper. If I could have a do-over, I would have reinforced the ends of the bumper protector with additional 3M automotive trim tape (which you can buy at auto supplies stores).
