I've had my eye on the Prius for quite some time, and I finally got one on December 30th. It's a 2005 Black #6. I had originally wanted Seaside, but the Black is growing on me. It's sleek. Drives like a dream. Kinda reminds me of Knight Rider. Maybe I'll name it KITT. Reverse beep lasted about 2 days before I shut it off. I've already burned one CD full of driving music, and am now compiling a second one. Kinda cool that I can stuff 8 hours of music into a car. Nav system is awesome! Props to the folks at Toyota Center in West Columbia. They treated me right. They've got a #6 silver on the lot right now in case anyone in the area is looking. Tell 'em Erick sent ya!
Congratulations! I also too delivery on the 30th. I kept the reverse beep on for about 5 days. At first I liked getting feedback, but then I was outside the car when my wife backed it up in total silence. Then I realized that I was getting feedback inside the car, but nobody outside the car was, which could be dangerous. I've been happy to have it off since then. One of my friends wondered how I could go from a BMW to this car. I will tell you that I feel almost more "in tune" to what my car is doing now with both physical and visual cues than in the BMW. Congrats! I think of KITT too when I see the black Prius here in my town. I've never been very fond of black cars, but on the Prius I think it looks sharp.
Congrats on your new car! I don't know why you guys don't like the back up beeper, when i back up my School Bus it makes me think I'm in my Prius! NOT!!!!! LOL
Congrats on the new car - yes, black is the best color (of course, it was one of my last choices originally, but once my number came up and it was black, I fell in love on sight!). Enjoy the drive from now on, it's hard not to. -m.

congrads on the new car. took delivery of my new 2005 on jan 3 2005 with a new year hang over. its silver with the grey and purple interior and with option nbr 4 and love it already. of course i had a 2002 on a lease which i gave back to them when i picked up the new one. love it even more than i did my 2002.
