After almost 40 years of driving pickup trucks and/or SUVs - all Chevy - I was drawn to the Prius like a moth to the flame . . . it was too hot to resist. They kept passing me on the freeway and boy, they looked like Hot Wheels cars. A visit to Casey Toyota in Williamsburg, Va did it. Ron Lassiter and his team delivered everything that they promised - delivery in less than two weeks and a fair price. My wife and I could not be happier. And . . . 45 MPG+
I'm going to try to post a picture . . . Here we are, caught by a train - my son driving - there was no rush, as the engineer was picking up a couple of loose tanker cars. Wow, reminds me of my old Lionel Train set The Picture: /Users/oldseagull/Desktop/IMGP9061.JPG If this does not work, I'll be back! We like our new Prius very much! JohnC :]
Welcome from Stafford! Telling folks how much they will love their new Prius never gets boring -- what a great car!
Howdy, neighbor! I work in Chesterfield (Courthouse area) and live near Midlothian Tnpk. Welcome to PriusChat and Prius-dom!
Thanks to everyone who has written to welcome us to Prius Chat! I drive better than I compute I am trying to get a picture up here. Let's see if the above one works. If not, I'll study a while and be back! Thanks to NYPrius1, JimboK and Jack66 for the kind welcome! Jack66, I have a cousin who lives in Stafford - he is retired Army - and JimboK, I'll look for your Prius on the highway - spotted another blue Prius parked at Henricus Park where we walk for exercise - never caught the owner around though. Take Care & Enjoy Living everybody! JohnC :]
OK, you do that. Meanwhile, about your pic: I know Chester pretty well, and the rest of Chesterfield too for that matter. I was trying to figure out where it was taken, but it stumped me. Where was it?
The pictures are working! Here's more: Buying a new Prius makes us hungry ~ Stopped at Pierce's Barbecue just off I-64 for lunch afterwards. My wife says I'll take a picture of just about anything . . . here's Pierce's BBQ in the rear view camera. One more . . . stopped to get the mail and when I looked back, I said, "Now there's a pretty picture!"
The train was crossing Ramblewood Drive, a little country road that is crossed by the same train track 3 times in approx. 3 mile stretch between Ware Bottom Spring Road (off Old Stage) and Enon Church Road (at Point of Rocks Park). :]
Ahh, that's why I didn't recognize it. It's been a long time since I've been on most of the back roads of Enon. I knew it wasn't any of the crossings on the main north/south CSX line through Chester. And I admire your taste in BBQ! :thumb:
Greeting from another neighbor. I live around the corner from JimboK with yet another Seaside Prius. My wife drives it more than I do now, but that's another story. Anyway, welcome to the site.
Thanks again for the great welcome, everybody! ny biker, you must be a "transplant" from New Yawk. Nice car you have there! What brought you to Arlington? raintree, you're the lawyer? What's the color of your ride? JohnC :]
Yes I moved to this area 11 years ago. A lot of friends from college were living in DC plus I had an opportunity to take what I thought would be a great job. The job turned out to be a disaster and the friends have long since moved on, but I still like it here. I lived in the district for a few years before crossing the river. Arlington is a great place to live.
