Around a month ago, I bought my first new car! And what a car, she is silver (I admit, I was frustrated that the dealer wouldn't offer the Blue, strange system they use.) On Monday I am due at the dealer to have Teflon coating placed on my car surfaces, but now I have this dent and scratch. Any idea how the dealer will handle this. Will the price to repair be enough to call in my insurance? ($300 deductible?). Should I go to a dent specialist or a body shop. Or will the dealer be a safe bet? I've been driving an ugly, worn down Geo Prizm for years. I haven't had to think about these things before. I assume I missed the New Years party, but my car didn't. I warned her to come in from the cold. Sad in San Diego.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(IsrAmeriPrius\";p=\"61117)</div> Dealer profit.[/b][/quote] With a three-year-old, a car with melted crayons embedded in the seats and a bit of good word on this product, I opted for this bait. With the rest of the actions of my dealer, including extended warranty for $300 over MSRP "for this weekend only" and the leather nonsense (see the PETA thread), I can only assume I'm getting screwed here. Live and learn. Tony
