I know this is lame, but.... Change holder accessory?

Anyone know of a change holder accessory designed for the prius that lets you hold quarter/nickles/dimes in different containers for easy access? Something that is designed with the prius in mind and, for example, slides into the spot above the center console power outlet or something...

I know this seems little, but I do a lot of toll-road traveling for work and it would be very convenient.

I know what you mean. I don't have to deal with toll roads, but most of the convenient parking, especially underground and heated, has a toll. I'm using the cupholder to hold loonies and twonies ($1 and $2 Canadian coins, the $1 coin has a loon on it), but that's a poor substitute.

When I had my first oil change, around two weeks ago, I noticed the 2005 Toyota Highlander has a neat little change cubbyhole just above the left knee.

I went to Office Depot and got a plastic coin sorter that fits under the armrest. It is not ideal but OK. I look forward to someone with a better solution.

This probably only applies to someone in my position.....since I only drive the Prius 50% of the time. My wife has solved the coin problem in a rather unique way. Whenever we go to the McDonald's drive-thru she hands me a small change purse from which I , robotically , count out the exact coinage and pass this to her. It works equally well at toll and ferry booths. She highly recommends this Prius accessory, however claims it is highly over priced. 8)

The small change holder that jayman talks about on other Toyotas is sorely missed on the Prius (and Solara)

I got a round thing at Auto Zone. Had to toss out the bottom half, but the top has slots for nickels dimes and quarters. Fits in my cup holder.

Only problem is is is plastic and I had one similar once before that melted in the summer. Won't know for a while if this one will last.

I don't think your question is lame...I think the lack of a change holder is lame! It's one thing I miss about my 1988 Dodge Shadow! Right now, my change is shifting around in that little square dohicky that sits in the front storage compartment. I don't travel on the tollways much at all, but the time that I did, it was VERY inconvenient to have to pick through the flotsam and jetsam trying to find the correct change.

I would love to find one of those old fashion metal belt change makers. Put new change in the slot on the top hit the leave do get correct change out the bottom but I can not find one anywhere. I had one years ago when I had a paper rout.

You mean like here? I also see some oldies available on eBay.

FWIW, I use a plastic 35mm film can (remember those?) to hold quarters. It fits quite nicely on the shelf underneath the stereo.

Here is a more compact option. Plastic though.

Here is another option. Doesn't seem to handle pennies, though...

Yep that's it. I was working my way through the B&M stores before I tried the internet. I guess I will try it. I like giving the local guys a shot first.
