Trouble with listening to Kate Bush is I recall her videos from the early 80s and it is somewhat distracting. I have the clips for Babooshka and others.
If you doing car songs you MUST include at least some of the many good tracks from the Little Deuce Coupe album Little Deuce Coupe - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia...
Lol, I just saw the Babooshka video for the first time ... an eye opener .... Musically, Love & Anger is among my favorite songs of all time. I still cue it up as a single a lot at home and in the car:
Her best video, however, is "Cloudbusting" (yes, that's Donald Sutherland): [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IRHA9W-zExQ]YouTube - Kate Bush Cloudbusting[/ame]
I first fell in love with Kate in my early teens, Babooshka and Wuthering Heights seemed to have more effect on me than Cloudbusting. Something about Kate playing a little boy maybe. You are right though, as videos of the era go it was ahead of it's time but so was Kate. I'd love her dressed in Hessian sack or silk, makes no difference, she's lovely.
I like this. I've only heard Kate Bush through Peter Gabriel. I really like Peter Gabriel - I've got a lot of his music and Kate Bush sings in a couple of his songs. I'll have to check out more of her stuff. I really like Dido, who I found through another artist. I bought her first album because of that Eminem song that had parts of "Thank You" in it (her song). I really like her music, so I guess I owe Eminem for that. Not much of a fan of his, but I like a couple of his tunes (I about died laughing when I heard "Two trailer park girls go round the outside, round the outside, round the outside...").
I was in a pretty multicultural mood today. I drove 355 miles to the coast to collect algae and it was South African kwaito and Australian aboriginal pop! haha Australian Yothu Yindi - Treaty Yothu Yindi - Tribal Voice South African Zola - Mdlwembe (kwaito) Haiti Michael Benjamin - Yon Ti Chans On a side note: I saw a TON of Prii today!!! One persone even waved back. lol
Among the songs currently on my changer "Get out of my way" by Mojo Nixon & Skid Roper Mojo Nixon & Skid Roper – Music at Last.fm "Vamos a la playa" by Los Lobos "Three fifths of a mile in 10 sec" by The Jefferson Airplane
You like Peter Gabriel, too? Love his music! I'm all over the map with music, though. Some more of my favorite artists: Tears for Fears Beatles Beck Pink Floyd Sting NIN (Pretty Hate Machine) Led Zeppelin Dido Puddle of Mud Stone Temple Pilots Pearl Jam Rick Braun Sheryl Crow (seeing her in concert next month - can't wait!) Joni Mitchell Chris Isaak Gorillaz William Orbit Eagles Joss Stone Keb Mo Taj Mahal Johnny Lang BB King Death Cab for Cutie Sarah Brightman Sade Any of your favorites in that list? :lalala:
From that list I like music from Peter Gabriel Tears for Fears Beatles Beck Pink Floyd Led Zeppelin Dido Puddle of Mud Stone Temple Pilots Pearl Jam Sheryl Crow Joni Mitchell Chris Isaak (a little, not all his stuff) Gorillaz Eagles Joss Stone BB King Sade Then you can add a few like, Kiss The Who The Guess Who ACDC Rolling Stones (who doesn't) The Proclaimers Fergal Sharky Suzi Quatro Daddy Cool B52s Natalie Imbruglia Taylor Dayne Anastasia Transvision Vamp Kieth Urban Simple Plan Delta Goodrem Devo Robert Palmer Madonna Tenacious D The offspring pink That will do for now. As you can see my tastes are all over the place.
This is perhaps the best album in the world to exercise to, with the possible exception of "Oil and Gold" by Shriekback.
most HIP HOP songs Fall Out Boy a lil R&B a lil Trance/Techno pretty much a lil bit of everything but Country :deadhorse:
Oh, I forgot Madonna and certainly the Stones! Never much cared for Kiss, but the rest of the world loves them. I also like The Fray.
