Prius Rental - BUR or ONT?

    Hi all,

    Don't yet have a Prius. Haven't even driven one. I'm mostly convinced, though. My wife, is less convinced that she will like one.

    Relatively soon, we would like to rent one for a week from either BUR or ONT. (Burbank and Ontario, California airports) ONT is preferred.

    I was able to find one for rent at Avis at BUR, but it was so much more than the regular rentals, that I cannot justify renting it. (The Prius is 2-3x more to rent, compared to other cars at Avis)

    Any suggestions on where to rent at BUR or ONT??? A week would really let us know if the Prius is the right choice for us.

    Check with a Toyota dealer about renting a Prius for a week, with an eye to buying one.

    I am flying into Burbank at the end of April, I just reserved a Prius from Avis at the Burbank airport for three days.

    I want to take it into the Hollywood hills and see how it dose with my fat but in it.

    I too am interested in getting one.

    This will be my second time to rent one, my first was at Flagstaff airport, it was a fun ride.

    After one weekend I was sold.

    I just had a Prius as a rental from Alamo (in Orlando). Driving it for a week was a great idea.....I just bought one last night! I'd say trying to rent one from a dealer might be a good option as I know they are expensive from the car companies. We got our rental as a free upgrade (they ran out of midsize cars). Hertz is also advertizing them for rent.
