We are now a full hybrid family. It's not another Prius, but it is still a Toyota. We took delivery on Saturday of a 2008 Toyota Camry Hybrid. This was for about $1800 more than we paid for the '07 Prius. Not as good mileage, but what a car! It has all the things my Package 6 Prius has plus sunroof, heated seats and mirrors, power seats , 16 in. wheels AND much more comfortable seats. I like my Prius, but I have to say that I like the Camry as well....... Yea Toyota! These are my first Toyota's, I was a Maxima person before, but I'm hooked now!
I bought my Prius at the end of the 2006 season. My married son bought a hybrid Camry six months later then my daughter and son-in-law bought a hybrid Camry about four months ago. One more daughter needs to buy either a Prius or hybrid Camry for us to be a total Toyota hybrid family. she owns a regular Camry now so everyone in my immediate family owns Toyota. They all kid me because back in the eighties I told them if they bought foreign they could not park in my drive way. How the times have changed.
Welcome to the two Hybrid family crowd. Bought mine in april of 07 and my wife bought hers in Jan of 08. A Classic Silver 07 and a Silver Pine Mica 08.
Cool Thread.... Total Hybrid Family here. 2007 Prius. 2008 Mercury Mariner Hybrid. 2006 Miles... 2k / Month 2008 Miles... 2k / Month 2006 Gas Budget... 110 gallons / Month 2008 Gas Budget... 50 gallons / Month 11011011
Well we are a total Prius family too. Both my wife and I own and drive our own prius and there 4 other Pruses with my brother and sister in law as well as my cousin and her kids. 6 Priuses in th last year here. Wow, that's a sad commentary. No American made hybrid can even come close. -Paul R. Haller-
Same here! except both of our cars are 08 Prii ! Mine is a red pkg 2 bought two weeks ago 700 miles avg 50.4 mpg so far Hers is a light blue pearl pkg 2 bought last night! 25 miles so far.
Does it count as a 'total Prius family' if you only have one? I suppose bicycles could be considered hybrids...
