Has anyone who has picked up a new Prius recently been given or asked for the dealer's pre-delivery check list? I would like to have a copy to take with me when I pick up my '08 Barcelona Red, pkg. 2, when it comes in around April 1. The most recent info. that I could find on this site is from '04. An '07 thread has two links to information, but neither website could be found (i.e. the information in the links was no longer available.) Thanks.
Googling 'prius delivery checklist' returns as the first hit Prius Pick-up Checklist All these items still apply except perhaps the valet cards, and they are available online.
Thank you, Richard. I had already printed out that one. Can anyone tell me if I should expect some sort of check list from the dealership when I pick up the car?
I did get a checklist from the dealer which they asked me to sign to verify that they went over the information with me. One of the items on the list states that they performed the Pre-Delivery checklist (which is a list of things they are supposed to check and/or install).
When I picked up my #2 silver pine mica last Saturday I asked for the check list and they produced a copy of it. I think they filled it out right then and there but they gave me a copy with signatures on it. Ask your dealer to have a copy of it when you go and pick it up. They want a good survey from you so they will bend over backwards to make sure you give them all excellents. I showed them my copy of the 07 check list I had with me and they came out with the exact same checklist but for my car. I hope this helps.
Using information that I had gleaned from PriusChat while lurking for sbout a month, I too asked for a copy of the dealer's in-house Pre-Delivery Check List. The sales person was clearly taken aback, but after a moment's hesitation went and got a copy of the document with no questions asked.
My dealer did not give me a check list when I picked up my Prius. Judging from the comments on this thread, it doesn't seem to be standard practice. You have to ask for it. More importantly, you have to confirm the items (to the best you can) on whatever check list you have.
