Happy Solstice

Thank God! Now the days can start to get longer here in the northern half of the world.

 

Unfortunately, today marks when the real cold weather begins.

The high temperature this afternoon was only 3F.

Tomorrow is expected to be even colder.

The holidays will bring travel to family, which means a heavily loaded Prius pushing through the thick cold air using winter-formula gas for what seems like forever with the heater cranked. I think my MPG will be heading south...

 

It also means that Harry Potter fans have a
definitive date to anticipate the next book.
I definitely admire Rowling for announcing
on a real holiday.

My one and only day off! Glee! :clap: Only two things could have made today even better: snow (rumored to come next week), and a Prius sitting in my driveway with a big red bow on it. :mrgreen: Oh well, I'll just settle for having finally been able to sleep in and having a blissful nothing to do today! *does the Happy Dance* My goal today is to acomplish NOTHING! It will be so sweet.
