    I use a GSM unlocked Treo 650 (T-Mobile) in my '08 Prius.

I can dial out from the phone, lift reciever and answer calls in the car and hang up from the car.

I have not been able to make a call using the steering wheel or MFDs only.

My phone book transferred okay, I added speed dials and added a voice tag to a number to test that for calling out (didn't work to call out). It would recognize what I was saying, seem to start to make the call, but nothing would happen...after a minute it would ask me to check my mobile phone connection.

Anyone have any luck get full call out functionality with a Treo 650 Palm? :)

I have a Treo 650 working in my 07 pkg#3. I have not had any problems with my voice dialing, voice tags and all. I have not tried MFD dialing. I don't understand enough about all the particulars of bluetooth to be able to recommend a solution. I can just say that it works with mine. The main problem I have had with my Treo is that it frequently crashes and needs to reboot whenever I receive an incoming call. I can see on screen who is calling, but after a second, the phone reboots. I am then forced to call the person back and blame the interruption on a bad connection. I have questioned others here and have been told that the Treo can be very quirky. I don't know if that is the cause of your/my problems.

    Good luck

Toyota Bluetooth Phone has quite a bit of good info.. Be aware that some service providers don't always see eye to eye with Toyota. Identical models of cell phones from different providers will have different capabilites.

BTW NapTown.... You owe me a new monitor.... I slapped that little bug silly....:D

I have a similar problem with my Treo 650 (Sprint) working with my '06 package 6. It works great most of the time. But every once in awhile when I place a call the phone crashes and reboots automatically. The MFD displays something like "check phone connection" and the call doesn't go through. I have to wait about 2 minutes for the phone to completely reboot and then I can try again and it always works the second time.

I noticed that this problem frequently occurs when I have just recently hotsync'ed the phone.

It is mostly just a nuisance but of course it always seems to happen when I have an important call to make.

Has anyone else experienced this? I have searched through the forums here on PriusChat and I have seen a lot of people complaining about problems with the Treo 650 bluetooth but never this particular problem.
