I purchased my 08 Prius (everything but leather and nav) - LOVE IT - a few weeks ago. The dealer installed the integrated Sirius unit and I'm having similar problems to many posts I've seen - the signal cuts in and out much more frequently than in my last car. I have noticed that I never have any "bars" on the signal meter on the builtin display which leads me to my question. Does the builtin display show signal strength? I found the installation instructions in another forum post and before I go tearing apart my car in an effort to fix this, I wanted to find out if other Prius owners with the integrated Sirius unit actually get "bars" indicating signal strength or if that is a bug in the interface. Also, any tips for fixing this? Thanks, Matt
Where did they place your antenna and is it one of those trapeziod blocks (Sigma)? If it is the Sigma and they placed it inside the car, try getting a new magnetic mount external antenna and see what happens. Good luck!
