I must say that after owning a Prius for less than two days, I'm really impressed by just about everything that I've discovered about the car so far. My salesman didn't know squat so I'm training myself on the intricacies of the car. This forum is a great help I think the Vette and Prius make a nice couple. I can get wild and crazy every once in a while but still save some serious gas when cruising around town.
Welcome to PriusChat, Quick08! A Vette and a Prius make an unusual pair all right. The driving style seems like complete opposites. Brian of BT Tech fame has tuned Vettes for years, so you may want to look at some of his products, found at the PriusChat Shop, to make your Prius handle a tiny bit more like your Vette.
Came Close to Buying a Vette Too! When I bought my 2006 Prius, the only other car I looked at was the Vette. There must be a Prius/Corvette correlation somewhere? I just couldn't buy the Vette after driving it; wasn't anywhere close to the experience of the 62 Vette of my youth.
welcome aboard! it appears that there are more car guys here than one would first expect. there are several of us who have violently fast motorcycles AND prii. go figure. i use the prius for practical reasons. i use the vrod for the fun of freedom. gosh its great to live in a country that so far still allows choice.
I guess I'm one too. Own a brand new 08 Prius and a 92 Eclipse GSX (had since new in July of 92) modified to run the 1/4 mile in 11.8 seconds. And I'm starting to believe the Prius is more fun? I must be getting old... Jack Z
+1 on the complete opposite (Corvette and Prius). Even with all the available modifications for the Prius, it may make a difference in performance but will not come close to the corvette. I am sure we all got the Prius to primarily save on gas and be kind to the environment. My Prius will stay stock and my main objective is to maximize my mpg. I do have a Vulcan 900LT and it also gives me 45 mpg. In general, I would like to stay above the 40 mpg mark. Congrats on the Prius.
