Greetings fellow Prius converts! We just bought a new 2008 spectra blue mica Package #6 Prius. My wife loves all the gadgets the car comes with. We had previously sold our 2005.5 Jetta TDI and were looking for a while as to what to get - and this is what we ended up with. I'm looking forward to discovering more about this fine vehicle. Reggie
Unrelated question to "Lumpy." My dad has wintered in the desert for years and has talked about meeting "Frank Bank" who played Lumpy in the old Leave it to Beaver TV Show. I know the odds are slim....but....it would make his day...
That is a really hard color to get these days. I had to wait 6 weeks for mine to come in with a Package #6 Touring Edition in Spectra Blue. [Which I hear is even more rare these days]. I had to drive to Madison Wisconsin to pick it up at Smart Toyota. It was a great purchasing experience. Now I am trying to figure out all the little nuances with this new ride. Lov'em or hate'em the car is pretty fun to drive. I still get horrible gas mileage and my fuel tank just barfed gas last night all over the place, but I find comfort in the thought that its paid off and I at least look like I care about the environment. No more dirty stares by the tree hugging Plain Janes at the Athletic Club. That in itself is worth the $30,000 price tag.
We had never seen this shade of blue before either in a Prius. We were actually looking at the Altima hybrid but the nav package was way too expensive and the fuel economy wasn't as good. I talked the wife into stopping at the Toyota dealer before the Nissan dealer, saw this one on the lot and she was sold!
My wife and I recently purchased a 2008 Touring Package #2. We love everything about the car, especially the 43 mpg we are getting.
