It's official... I hate my Prius!

Sounds like a personal problem, not a Prius problem.

 

I can relate and it probably has little to do with the car, before this I had a passat that was supposed to be very crash worthy but because it was too big for me, I had lots of fender benders in it and from the beginning it felt like I had I was just having bad luck. I recently got bumped at a light we both got out and looked and there was nothing (daylight) so it might be the speed was more than you thought cause it didn;t even had a scratch. It probably has a lot to do with what part of the other car touched mine. I hope you make peace with it but if you don't please replace it with something else taking the environment in mind.

Sounds like to me that you've only got trouble with 1 incident..the rear ender. The rest were either your fault or the car getting vandalized (which isn't related to karma, but more to neighborhood).

Hey, I've been hit in an Avalon and it was a bit of a shocker. Don't let the minor ache(s) get you down. Trade it in and your wallet will ache more everyday. Besides, bad things come in 3's. You're probably done.

Sorry for your situation. My SL2 was like that for me.

Anyway, not sure if Ford still builds Mustang's like they did the 65s. Which were built the same way the Pinto was. That is, with the fuel tank making up the rear floor of the trunk, rather than a seperate tank bolted underneath the car. But if so, that could explain why your Mustang cushioned you better. It just did not have any beef in the back. Take out the fuel tank in those older Mustangs and there just is not much metal to the rear of the differential.

I think what happened to you over the course of the time you owned the car is Prius envy, others who know you are getting 50MPG, and hate you for it. Cant say that about the rear ender, that happens, but the other stuff, the vandalism and such, pure prius envy. I have had people give me the finger and yell out get that crap outa here while driving it, you just have to laugh at them and move on, except when they damage it of course.

Does anybody remember the Car add that showed the car being driven over a bank rolling over onto its roof and was righted back onto it's tires then off it goes. Was that Volkswagon? They did that to stress the safety of the vehicle. Don't do that today.

You're not unlucky. Shit just happens....The universe isn't out to get you or anything like that. Don't blame the car. It's an inanimate object.
