Several days ago I received my brand new Prius in Tideland Pearl. Subsequently, I searched the net and found this excellent forum. I've been reading it and really want to thank all of you for the wealth of information and experience. I'll give a full report after I've had the car for a month or so. In the meantime, I'm really enjoying it and am gradually becoming familiar with the controls and how it handles. My very first impressions are that it is a fantastic machine. I am having one problem, and perhaps some of you can lead me to some "threads" or information that may help. I thought I was reasonably "computer literate," however, I am having problems learning how to use the Navigation System. So far, I have not been able to successfully load in my "home base." I did enter an address and the unit guided us there, so that's something. Anyway, any help would be appreciated. Otherwise, I'll just keep going through the manual and continue playing with the system. Many thanks and I look forward to being an active participant. Alan
Try this website. It is for Lexus but has an excellent tutorial for the NAV system. http://www.lexus.com/models/ls/interior.html Happy Driving!
The link Kathy posted should help you. Don't feel you are alone in being a bit flumoxed by the NAV system. You have plenty of company. I consider myself computer literate, I have been a computer programmer for 25 years. There are many things I do not find intuitive with the NAV system. One hint to its complexity might be the size of the separate user's guide.
