The hardest part about starting a new site like a discussion forum is getting enough people on it to where it becomes attractive for visitors to join up and join in the discussion. Well, a couple of friends of mine (both brothers) have started a new forum site of his own, www.reedyriver.net and are trying to make it successful. For Christmas, one brother told the other that all he wanted was 100 people registered on the site, to give it a nice boost. Right now they have 33 registered, so I thought that among the 3,500+ of us, at least 60 or 70 of us could register over there to push them over 100 members. Sign up with your spam email addy, or whatever you want - I guarantee that they will not use it to spam you or anything like that.
With the addition of MSS to the forum there are 41. Only 60+ more to go... Come'on guys you can do it.
Sorry Danny, the hardest part of setting up a new discussion site is giving people a reason to join. YOU my friend, hit the jackpot with your clever and well done, PriusChat! Your friends however, are simply presenting yet-another-open forum, with no distingishing drawing point. I'll join, but if nobody bothers to post, it's not going to do them much good i'm afraid.
C'mon, everyone sign up.......please! You don't want to miss this guy, now, do you?: [Broken External Image]:http://reedyriver.net/phpbb/images/avatars/95980474841b78277c78c5.jpg
