I'm curious too. The outside temperature dropped back down to the mid 30's for this tank, yet the value on the Multi-Display has remained in the low 50's. (Yeah!) That either means my Prius was suddenly visited by the "Break-In Fairy" (at 8,000 miles) or my fill up with gas on Sunday, February 29th was actually the non-winter formula. Also note that I am using Low-Sulfur E10, so that particular kind of gas might fall into the "other" category.
The last time gas was 79.9 cents per gallon around here was only 3 or 4 years ago, but I think it'll continue to be a fading memory...
For most places: Terminals are required to sell RFG beginning May 1 Retailers must sell RFG beginning June 1 The NACS has a PR center explaining it, so your local 7-11 guy can tell you why the prices have changed http://www.nacsonline.com/NACS/Resource/PR...tility_2004.htm
Why the difference? I gassed up yesterday, and I was pleased to see that I averaged 49 MPG on my hilly, 100 mile round trip work commute. Weather has been warmer the last couple of days so that could account for the increase. I guess I can count on another increase after April. Unfortunately, the weekend's coming, which means many short trips, and a hit on my MPG. This car is making me dislike weekends. :?
