New Member from NC (pics inside) just wanted to introduce myself. I just picked up a new 2008 Spectra Blue Prius a few days ago. I'm currently brousing the fuel economy section to see how to maximize the mpg in this cold weather and it is very enlightening! I needed a good daily driver that was more eco friendly and I look forward to learning from the experts here.
Where in NC? I live in Waxhaw and work in Downton Charlotte. Only had mine for a week so far, but my MPG average is 47. I think it will pickup as we get back to warmer weather.
Greensboro. I'm a little under that mpg right now, but mostly that is a result of my type of commute. It will improve though with learning to drive this thing more efficiently and the weather changes.

haha, not a chance but whenever it is possible to have an even larger garage it might move in next to it! My wifes Mercury Milan may have something to say about it but I think the Prius would win out
Wow is this car fantastic. After adjusting my driving style by monitoring energy consumption I've raised my mpg from ~39 up to ~45. Im still on the first tank of gas so its a great improvement so far.
