It is the yellow smallest and top most bulb in the front head lamp unit. I know John1701a changed it because I saw it in his expense log. He did not explain how to do it. I went and bought a pair of replacement bulbs for $3 and found that it is W5W when I got home. Then I remember plenty of them at home from replacing the interior and door lights with the LED bulbs. I can use one of them for sure. Now, I gotta go and return it. I am also thinking of upgrading this parking bulbs to LEDs. Any hint how to change the bulb or idea against using LEDs for it?
I had to replace one of mine. Hard to find the bulb, but finally located one. $0.79. Anyway, I think it is best to remove the light NEXT to it (turn signal) to give you more room. If I remember correctly, you need to twist the holder to get the bulb out (both the turn signal AND the parking light). It is one of those 1/4 twist deals. After the turn signal, do the same thing to the parking light. To replace the bulb, just pull it out and push the new one in. Then reverse the process. I learned how to do it from the manual that comes with the car.
I believe it's a twist and pull but double check with the manual. I wanted to replace it with the free bulbs that PowerBulbs gave us but I couldn't twist or pull the darn thing out so I gave up and used those bulbs in my map light lol.
i am working on fully led prius inside almost done now! pics soon only need to now what kind of light bulp you peolpe use to replace this parking light link?
ok because my replacement 1 LED light is surely not strong anough for the job need to find a more powerful led
you can clearly see not up for the job 600mcd only with 1 led inside i am now going for the 8000mcd 6 led bulb next week more info!
Or get some of those side firing LEDs. Mine is like that and output is good. It is able to use the car's conical reflector housing.
I just changed mine with one of the bulb from upgrading my interior LEDs. I just replaced with the exact one. If anyone is interested, the bulb is W5W 12V5W. Just pull out the wire and turn counter clockwise. Very simple.
I wish haha. Seems like every bulb has been superglued in on my car. I'll remember to pull the wire and twist anti-clockwise. Thanks!
Trying to scour ebay etc. for an amber bulb for this parking light (My front passenger side went out) as well as an explanation/guide on how to replace it...Searched around but can't seem to find it
