I looked for the thread as I sort of remember this topic coming along around thanksgiving but couldn't find it. Now that I've had the car I know what was being discussed but not the resolution. Might be good to rehash it or if someone knows what thread it's in a link would be great. So you hit the power button once without the brake on and is that basically accessory mode? You hit the power button again and what mode is that? Without the foot on the brake it seems like the car starts, but you can't move it into gear. Another press of the button and the car shuts off. Is there a way to go from the first power mode to off?
From the manual.... State One is ACC where some accessories will operate. State Two is IG-ON where all accessories will operate. Manual doesn't say there's a way to got from ACC to off. Has anyone found a way?
Push the Power button twice. Sorry, couldn't resist. Really, what more can they do to make it easier? Push and hold for 5 seconds? Faster to tap it twice.
i wonder what the emergency off would do when driving.. just kill the car? or would it all just lock up? anyone want to try?
I wish there were a way to go from Ready to ACC without powering off between. I like to listen to the radio while I get my mail, and don't want to leave the car fully on just for that. There is an emergency off mode, where you hold the button for 4 or so seconds. Not sure if it completely powers off, or goes to Neutral with limited hybrid power. Probably Ig-On in neutral.
