Is it possible to take out the factory radio unit and in that space add an aftermarket DVD screen and receiver unit? HAs anyone done this? Is it possible or will that interfere with some factory controls?? I've been wanting to this for a while I just dont know if that will affect any car functions... If not... any other alternative?
Do a search for "68* ohm resistor mod". Actually, replacing "resistor" with "resister" will find one more relevant thread.
It seems it can be done with that mod.. but people seem to add the player/receiver to the compartment below the stock radio.. I think eliminating the radio and replacing it with a nice screen/receiver would look even better...
I took out the stock radio and installed a sirius ready Kenwood. Yes you must do the 68 ohm mod its easy but needs to be done. After that is was working great. And before yo ask, its been a couple years since i did it so dont ask me what wires are supposed to go together with the resistor, because i just plumb forgot !
