not kidding, matter of fact some time ago I read it here, can't reminder what topic it was in, but DANG, its working with no over heating issues...
I just drove to Grass Valley, Ca from Pleasant Hill, Ca. Got schtuck in the rush hour commute which I do not have to deal with on my normal commute. It was GREAT to see the car shut off when stopped while all the other apes' cars were spewing out exhaust. The best part was seeing ONLY the EM propel the car. I was able to get up to 37 MPH on just the EM. This went on for about 20 or so miles. My entire trip was 120 miles and I got 51 MPG. I have also gotten good at GLIDING. Love my video game on wheels.
He's not. Some in cold weather do it and it does help, but it's dangerous without some way to monitor engine temperature (scangauge, etc.). It does little good unless temps are constantly below freezing.
I thought coasting in B mode also captured kinetic energy as D does. I just thought it was less efficient. Anybody know for sure?
Whether it regenerates not-at-all or merely does so less efficiently, either way it's a losing proposition to use "B" while coasting.
