1. Silver Pine Mica 2. Driftwood Pearl 3. Seaside Pearl 4. Spectra Blue Green is my favorite color, and I prefer car colors that are a little more subtle. I refuse to start worrying about finding it in a parking lot. When we bought our car, it had just arrived, is a color that doesn't show dirt well, and was the right price. (Didn't get number 1 choice, but we really didn't care that much about color!)
Well I have 2 favorite colors on the Prius. I love Barcelona red and I love silver pine mica. What to do... I know, Buy 2 prius one in red the other in green. Thats exactly what I did. They look so festive side by side over the holidays. -Paul R. Haller-
jclay1965 is your dealer installing sunroofs in the prius? if so plz give us the name & phone # of your toyota dealership, we'd all appreciate it.
I just bought a Prius in Pine Silver Mica, and I love it, so that would have to be my favorite Prius color. I've had a couple of silver cars in the past, and I really like silver a lot. But the silver green color was perfect for me, both because it was a little different from my last car, which was silver, and the green seemed totally appropriate for the Prius. I've been watching Priuses on the road ever since, and my next favorite colors are, in order, Classic Silver Metallic, Barcelona Red Metallic, Seaside Blue, and Magnetic Gray Metallic. But I really don't think Prius makes a bad color. I like them all, though I personally would never buy a black or white car because I think they only look great when they are perfectly clean.
Im prone to red! but after that the blue is very nice, both of them. Then the pine mica is neat. then it's white, then silver then black. I've only seen two black prii so far in FL.
Fell in love with spectra blue at dealer, so much I worked a trade for my 06 seaside blue, which I always thought was just an OK color. The only other color I loved was the salsa red my wife had until recently, much richer looking than barcelona.
1 Spectra blue. 2 Silver My first choice wasn't available with gray leather so I bought an 08 Package 6 in Classic Silver. It gets better looking every time I wash it. Also the second best color to reflect the Florida sun and stay cool (white is #1, but who wants to drive an "appliance")
1. Silver Pine Mica 2. Seaside Pearl 3. Silver I got my first choice, silver pine mica, but would have taken any color with a gray interior. I've had just about every color in cars, and you get used to any of them. Black leaves bead marks when you wash it. White has to be washed more frequently. A lighter color is preferred for hot weather. The car stays cooler.
Dude! You're not helping our cause by misspelling "sophisticated." I've had several Barcelona owners whine to me that they wished Prii still came in Salsa when they bought. Without Salsa as a choice today, I'd go with a Spectra Blue for a replacement . . . but even that would be a sad day.
When I got mine, this was my list: 1) Barcelona Red (which I have) 2) Spectra Blue, except they didn't have any in RI, just saw my first one a couple weeks ago 3) Mag gray....almost got this until I decided on red hmmm.....I'm just not much of a pastel person. I like colors. That said, now that I'm paying more attention to Prii, I like how the car looks in black and (surprisingly, for me) white. SPM is OK but I wish it was a little more green. Seaside, eh, there are a ton of seaside Prius so it's not unusual. Driftwood and silver don't do anything for me.
:targetriftwood Pearl :target:The wife and I agreed as soon has we saw one on the lot. At least this time of year it don't show pollen as bad as our dark blue 02 Camry.........
I would love to see a wider range of colors that are vibrant and alive! Colors that makes someone say WOW!! Colors like a true Candy Apple Red with a metalic flake or an eye catching Bronze with a Pearl micro flake!
I was torn between Black and the Silver Pine Mica, and I sometime wish I had gone with the SPM. The black does look great (it's new), but it does get so dirty and I am constantly washing it. I think the next one I get with be this color. I agree with the person who says all silver cars are not classic at all, basically just a boring color that shows no personality. I always think that people who chose silver must not have seen the other colors on the lot, or maybe got a really good deal. Whether it's a bright or dark gun metal silver, it just looks ugly and like someone's company car or rental car. I am also not a fan of the Barcelona red, I hate that disgusting wine color on a car (reminds me of Grandmas driving on old Taurus or something), but I love the Salsa red , even though I am not usually a fan of red cars. I think it looks quite fun on the Prius. The Driftwood Pearl is nice in it's own way, you don't see too many of them, and it's a new and different color. I was surprised that I kind of like the white on the Prius, it works. And the blue is pretty, could see my mom driving it maybe.
Bottom line is that color choice is subjective, so no right or wrong or best color choice. After looking at all the colors on the Internet and several I considered in person, I chose Super White. I have had several white cars and way too many silver cars. To me the white cars show dirt far less than any other color. It seems counterintuitive, but I find white much easier to maintain than silver or any darker color. Some of the colorful colors - blues, greens, reds - I would find tiring after a few months. Call me boring, but I prefer my Super White. If you like the color of your car, other opinions should not matter.
We waited five months for the Magnetic Gray to come out and get delivered. Now we see them everywhere! ah well... I do love the color. Why would anyone insult someone else's color choice?? I don't like white cars, but then hey... I didn't buy white! If you like white (or red or blue or purple or pink).. you do your thing.
