One of my underlings (staff) is coming up for a car replacement as he has a fleet car. I suggested he look at the Prius due to the tax break we get on our income tax in the UK. Well today he came up to me and said he wasn't going for the Prius, he was ordering an Audi A3. So I ask him - Why arn't you going for the Prius and his response was.... "You can't smoke in a Prius, the batteries give off explosive gases that are vented into the passenger compartment." I just stood there looking at him, I couldn't even think of where to start with that bit of mis-information. (For the record I smoke and I drive a Prius - I haven't blown up yet) BR Mick
LOL And I'm guessing it's international: I'm in California and I smoke in my Prius. No explosions yet.
I don't understand why people tend to believe such nonsense without even bothering to find out if it's true.
Well, nobody's allowed to smoke in my Prius. Of course, nobody was allowed to smoke in any of my cars.
A hearty laugh would have been a good start. Then ask who told him that howler (I'd bet that Godiva nailed this). Then go demonstrate smoking in your Prius. Maybe it's not too late to save him?
