Why don't you go look at the Tesla for your rush and then let Aptera build a more affordable version for the rest of us.
I don't see the problem, after all you would be happy if he used the word gas if it was a petrol powered car, even though petrol is a liquid. I have never worked that one out. Is accelerator to hard to say?
I agree with PriuStorm. If you are after thrills, that Tesla is SWEET! Unfortunately I am about $100,000 short of getting it. I love the thrill that I get from power (1989 TransAm) but you can't beat efficiency for everyday use.
I've read in a few places that they have a sedan on the drawing boards for some time after release of the first designs. I've been following the progress of this car for a little while and am very close to plunking down the $500 to reserve one. I live in the Sierra Nevada mountains and I'm fairly certain that the EV just wouldn't be practical for me here, but the hybrid has me drooling. I also happen think the design is an absolute thing of beauty. It's obviously not what we're used to seeing and I think that may be why some don't care for it, but it's what we SHOULD have been doing for a long, long time. An exercise in efficiency. I love it.
