Hi Folks, What type of antenna connector is on the back of the OEM radio? I wanted to add a modulator but wanted to ensure I have the correct type/connector/adapters before I started the project? Kieran
It's a standard antenna connector. I don't know any more than that. I hope it helps. I've got a Sirius wired FM modulator plugged into mine and it fits just fine.

The only surprise I found when I installed mine was some change that had somehow gotten stuffed under the passenger side floor mat. (I found it when I was re-routing the wires.)
I want to ad the xm fm direct kit. Does anyone have a pic of the back of the 06 radio? And can this be done without removing the radio?
Theoretically it can be done, but it's much easier done by removing the radio. It's not difficult to do, just a little scary having your dash taken apart. I don't have a picture of the back of the radio. Sorry.
installed I just installed the Sirius FM Modulator and as noted, the antenna connector is the standard type. The install took about 30 minutes and I used the lower glove box method to access the back of the radio. I used heavy duty double sided tape to attach the modulator to the white junction box. FM audio quality is nice and strong and no more interference. Only hassle was moving the junction box out of the way but now I know how to do it, the next time would be simplier.
antenna connector The Sirius modulator does not require a power source. I was able locate the connector by feel put it out and plug in the modulator. The connector was on the farest end of the back of the radio, but it was easy to locate. The audio quality is like vastly superior to the wirelss modulator.
