I just checked the California DMV website and they specifically say that hybrids aren't eligible yet. But tonight, while waiting to get my car back from the shop, a Black Prius waiting there had them. There were three, large, rather ugly, reflective stickers that said "<> access" and had a California seal and serial number on it. There was one on both rear panels and a smaller one on the bumper. At first I thought they were temporary advertising stickers for a new car. Anyone know about this? (They may be handy but sure won't be much of a fashion statement. )
Please post a photo so we can make our own... * smaller, less obtrusive * magnetic stick-on, used only on trips * tasteful colors Just kidding. No, I'm not.
For reels dude... Because I just saw one on a Civic and I was like!!!!!! Holy Sh*t... Its time for me to get in carpool.... Anyone got any info on this?
Anyone know if this sticker lets you drive in the carpool lane past the ramp meters during rush hour? I don't often find myself driving in the carpool lane on the freeway, but I'm often in the line of cars stopped at the lights on the ramps.
The Civic might have been the CNG version. One of the guys here got one of those, with the sticker. He was pretty miffed when the Hybrids allowed law passed. From what I understood though, we were not eligable to get ours till the Feds approved it... It's too bad you couldn't ask the Prius's owner where he got those. BTW Kablooie - How's your Prius?
