I was just at the auto show in San Francisco and noticed that the 2008 Prius now uses a shark-fin type antenna. Does anyone know yet if you can put a 2008 OEM antenna on a 2006 or 2007 Prius?
Yep, if the sharkfin is stock on U.S. '08 Prius' then I got ripped off on my '08 with the standard antenna. Seriously though, I personally like the standard antenna. It makes it look like a remote control car and gets better reception. I actually had my Prius parked to an identical Prius at the Car was with a sharkfin and that made the decision for me to keep it stock. It's almost as if the shark fin antenna increases the snail look of the Prius where the stock antenna breaks it up a bit. Perhaps I'm just telling myself this because I'm too cheap to buy one? I don't know, you decide.

I added the sharkfin to my 2008 so I could run it through the car wash without fearing it breaking off the antenna base.
