There is a little paragraph in the brochure that mentions front wheel and rear wheel drive. Does the Prius incorporate both? I thought both the gas engine and electric motor drove the car via the front wheels. Bob
It's on the inside of the back cover, under Warranties. Now that I look at it, I think it's just a general statement about drivetrain warranties and is used for all brochures which includes rear wheel drive cars. B
The Estima hybrid minivan that Toyota sells in Japan has a hybrid system on the front wheels and a separate electric motor to drive the rear wheels. http://www.toyota.co.jp/en/news/01/0615.html
As will the hybrid Highlander equipped with i4wd or 4wdi (whichever it'll be called, it'll use eletric motors at the rear to accomplish it).
