I just installed a solid black, un-perforated, wheelskin on our 2008, Barcelona Red with grey leather. I am tremendously impressed with the quality, look and feel of the wheelskin. But . . . I just found some pictures here at PC posted by Chatters of their two-tone and perforated 'skins and I am starting to have second thoughts. Those two-tone jobs look really sharp. I am thinking of undoing my black wheelskin and replacing it with a two-tone. So, could folks give me their advice and ideas of color combinations that they think would work for our Prius? Pictures are also appreciated. I thank you in advance. Kindest Regards,
Well I have a Barcelona Red with Gray interior and I went with red for top and bottom and black perf on the sides. I also have red and black seat covers to match. My wheelskin without the seat covers http://priuschat.com/index.php?showtopic=30533&hl= With seat covers. You will have to scroll down a bit to see the pics http://priuschat.com/index.php?showtopic=30379&hl=
black/grey to match the interior? or maybe red and some other colour to match the exterior (black/red?)
The Force, your red and black was the second two-tone I saw and it got me thinking. It looks fabulous. Did you give any thought to going with the charcoal rather than black or did the Okole seats decide on black for you? Scafremon, the black and sand looks to be a good match with the bisque interior. Really nice stiching job. Looks much tighter and uniform than mine. I need to do better next time. Tidland Prius, black and grey was my first thought and then I saw the Force's red and black. I like it a lot but am worried that, as an attorney who has to maintain a certain B.S. conservative air (pahetic, I know), the combo might be "too" much. What do you think about burgandy and grey or charcoal or black? Do think burgandy might work with the Barcelona Red? Thank you all. It may be kind of silly, but I have never felt the sort of attachment and worry about the details of a car as I do with the Prius. I guess the prescence of a great community site like PC is a testament to the kind of affinity inspired by the little hybrid. Kindest,
The seat covers only had black on the out side for the full piping so I pretty much had to go with black on the wheel cover. I think I would have gone with black anyway if I had not gotten the seat covers.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(sinistersushi @ Nov 10 2007, 08:49 PM) </div> Burgundy seems to match Salsa Red more closely than Barcelona, no? OR, have the red at the sides and the black on the top/bottom (i.e. inverse of The Force's setup)
can someone with the grey interior please post pictures of your wheelskins??? I can't decide whether to get a solid color or a two tone. Any pics of grey/black or other colors will be appreciates... edit:: Actually, if anyone has a silver pine mica and has the green and black I'd love to see it!!
How much trouble is it to install the wheel cover? I assume it laces on like the old sportgrips from the 70's. Is it hard to do a good job?
