Will there be any new tax incentives for 2008? The current Toyota tax incentives are pretty much wiped out.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(clintd555 @ Oct 27 2007, 09:08 PM) </div> I don't believe so. The tax incentives are designed to encourage people to purchase, and as sales go up the credit goes down. Unless Congress passes a new law, the Prius is now too popular to get any incentives.
You can still check to see if your state, locality, or employer offer any bonuses. My company gave me $3,000 for buying a hybrid.

My county basically charges nothing for prius. That was a nice surprise.
I am currently shopping for my first Prius, and the salesman told us that the $2000 taken off the bottom line on the sticker was Toyota's way of making up for that. Sales BS or something? (the perennial question)
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(David T M @ Oct 28 2007, 04:15 PM) </div> When I bought my 2006, no dealer would even think about giving discounts. With tax credit gone, the dealer mark downs are a way to encourage buyers and you can think of it as Toyota's way for making up for no more tax credits.
