I purchased an 08 Touring and did not want leather so could not get the Naivigation option. Is there a way to add Navigation that would work like the factory nav? If all else fails I guess I could get a TomTom.
it can be done. Buy one of those video enabling adapters from coastal tech and a garmin navi brain. I'm waiting for my garmin unit and clarioun dvd player to come in and i will be doing the full install.
Garmin Blackbox is one but it uses a remote instead of touchscreen. Otherwise, get a TomTom . I have the ONE 2nd Ed. (bought Nov 06). They just came out with App version 7 (called Navcore 7) and it's pretty good. Plus I have MobilNova which allows me to play video (not while I'm driving of course! It's for the passengers or if I'm waiting for ppl) and mp3s.
I have an 07 that does not have the NAV. I'd like to buy a TomTom or something like it, be able to plug it into the Prius, and have the directions show on my screen. Then, I would also like to unplug the TomTom to use in the other cars or to take with me when I have to navigate my way around on foot. Maybe that ultimate iPod thing would work? Didn't bother to email them and ask because it shows sold out. I'm sure my daughter would be thrilled if she could see her iPod videos and song lists on the Prius screen, when she's not playing with the navigation that is. Oh, she's 14 and NOT driving while playing with these. Please, if you have the solution, email or post! Thanks.
