"Attempts to harvest silk from spider farms has proven impractical because the aggressive, territorial nature of spiders makes them difficult to domesticate." Well, so much for it being some sort of silk farm. Is this place famous, Evan, or a play on words like spider, web, arachnid, black-widow, tarantula, etc.? Oh wait - DUH ---- Saddam's Spider Hole - Of Course!! Evan, why don't you put up the next one in your roster - you've got 'em ready to go & I'd have to hunt the damn planet to find something and it's big and I'm small. Good pick - and I'm amazed it's taken this long for that hideout to make its appearance here. MB
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(efusco @ Oct 17 2007, 04:43 PM) </div> \ OK I searched the topic and did not find this. So here goes
No Street View, so it's outside the LA/San Diego area. It's beachfront, with what I'll guess are the SP tracks the old SP Daylight ran on. But there's nothing around Oxnard or Santa Barbara that matches. Well, if not beachfront, waterfront definitely. Hmmm. Palm trees signify Mediterranean climate, so we can safely rule out Norway, Greenland, and Baffin Island, narrowing the hunt considerably. Single tennis court and simple rectangular pool signify a modest income, as well as the fact that the property adjoins railroad tracks - the wrong side of the tracks at that (a truly wealthy person would have built on the water side of the tracks, or more likely had the tracks rerouted altogether). Resident could be only one or two figures away from having to subsist on food stamps. When we find out whose place this is that paragraph is probably gonna look silly, but for now I'll have some fun. So can you Google "Joe Famous's Place" and it'll highlight the house? Has our personal privacy been THAT eroded? Wow.
