Anyone receive the Prius rebate credit from Toyota?

:lol: Forgot to mention the funniest thing. I was told that under the name "Tony", we would never have gotten the rebate check. You guessed it! The check came in the name "Tony". We now are waiting for the "Anthony" check!

So happy for all of you in lovely Florida that it seems that the nightmare is over. Now for all of us in shakey California ...

 

God I love this site...!! I just picked up my 05 #9 black and tan on 11/16 does this rebate still exist? I haven't heard anything about it other than here on this forum. BTW total wait time for the EXACT prius I wanted....15 minutes!!!!
ME: got any black an tans with option #9?
Dealer: we've never even seen that color combo.
ME: Here's my number call me when u get one. (went to lunch)

Congrats! Typically, records go the other way.

I believe the rebate was contingent on having ordered your car prior to March 9th.

 

Thanks...I gotta tell ya I had a hard time parting with it last night to have the interior and paint treated....got a chrysler 300 as a rental....boy am I glad I didn't buy that thing..lol. it's a nice car but it isn't as fun to drive..but it sure has alot of "pimp value"!!

actually you would be surprised about what Toyota "knows" about their dealers. the rebate is totally in Toyota's hands not the dealership. and sometimes there can be a lot of disconnect between how responsible the dealer is about seeing your rebate through. it is after all basically a courtesy. IT IS their job, but in this case of needing to compare various dates for eligibility, you might want to escalate the situation as you are way over due.

my dealer told me exactly what would happen and checked back with me after the expected time of my rebate arrival to make sure i had received it. (i received it 2-3 weeks after delivery of my Prius and the dealer called the very next week to verify it)
