(We used to have a Keeshond that would sit and wait for the gophers. She was very patient and always disappointed. She never realized there was more than one entrance.)
My wife has worked at Vet Clinic for several years and tends to bring home "broken" (blind, diabetic) or unwanted cats. We currently have 15 and you can see them at http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v437/aaf709/Our%20Cats/
We have one ancient dog, 3 cats who keep the dog supplied with litterbox treats, an assortment of reptiles, some non-descript fish in a tank, and twenty four backyard birds (chickens). We had an amphibian but let it go after 2 years when the bait shop in town closed and worms became difficult to obtain. Oh yes, and we allow arachnids to live in the basement. Do plants that we talk to count as pets too?
I have "Jasper, the time and space traveling cat," house bunnies "Sushi and Mikado," and one newly acquired pet Roomba, whom the cat thinks is his new companion.
the police came and took my diamond back and didn't compensate me for the loss of my pet! I didn't think that was fair.
Two cats. The huge black and white fixed male is the 7 year old primary cat, the little orange fixed male is the 1 year old emergency backup cat.
Cat: Merri 2 Roombas: Herbie and Bruce 1 Scooba: no name as of yet, still haven't bonded An amazing assortment of unseen things that inhabit our space, though often in alternate dimensions.
two furballs, and i can't find any pics of them on this machine (minus of course the video of them being harassed by the bird) and <strike>the destroyer</strike> our senegal parrot
Oh yeah, and one guinea pig, which isn't my pet but I get to clean the cage  Still waiting for the '08 Prius, Jim
[attachmentid=12047] Assorted stray cats that have been rescued, a Roomba, and a Scooba - and of course a Littermaid ! and a Niece that keeps it going when I am away - she's my pet too !

I haven't had any pets since the neighbour's cat moved out, but I think this clip is pee-your-pants hilarious.
