Does anyone know how to change the default setting from locking when you take the vehicle out of park to locking when it hits a certain speed?

That isn't an option, unless you add a third party controller.

It is an option on the 08 but so far the only way is to go to the dealer and they can set it.

someone who has another toyota that has this feature might want to check their manual. My 2004 Sienna has the ability to change auto lock options and the directions are in the manual. If no one else does it I will post it.

    just a thought.

That would be great, I have an 08' and the directions are to go to the dealer, the dealer had no clue. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks,

umm... on the Camry it's a series of moves..

something along the lines of go to ON, press the LOCK on the driver's door panel and hold for 5 secs.

I don't have the manual cause well.. our Camry got totalled in May.

Sorry to hear about the Camry, I hope everyone was OK.

It was a nice try on the lock, but no go :(

Thanks. Only dad was in the car at the time. The taxi turned left in front of him so it was damage to the front right corner (passenger side) and yet it's totalled <_<.

Hmm... the Prius' manual doesn't have it listed?

Went to my second dealer yesterday and they showed me the options on the computer and this was not listed. It's listed in the manual as an option the dealer can provide...

Coastal may end up with another sale :).

I went to a dealer today and same story they could not find the options. The lead tech said he would check into this and call when he has the answer. :(

I just spoke to Toyota and they told me it could be done with a scan tool. They are going to assign this to my dealership and they will call me. I told them the dealership had already tried with a scan tool so they are going to provide specific instructions to make it happen.

I'll keep you posted once I hear from the dealership.

Of course not. Mine's an 05.

So if they don't auto lock, then how can it be changed?

I thought they already lock/unlock in one fashion and you wanted a different setup.

The option should be made available with the scan tool, neither dealer was unable to find it so I assume this is a training issue or a software update issue.

On mine there's no auto lock/unlock.
