First, I know what the word is; I was playing on it. Second, I rarely eat vegetables, I mean, RARELY. When I do, it's potatoes, peppers (red, yellow, orange), onions, some lettuce...but not a whole lot. I would say, mostly I eat meat. And every day. And I don't really care if it's good for me, or bad. We all got to die of something, and since I got diagnosed with cancer over two years ago, I just try to survive, as happy as I can be. I could check out at any time, and I don't want to waste what I have by being eating vegetables.

Besides, I heard they can 'scream' when pulled out of the ground.

 

TJaG, my concern as a vegetarian is less about what's bad for me, and more about what's bad for the rest of the world. But I'm not arguing or trying to convince you, as you've made your own choice.

Regarding vegans breast-feeding, no vegan I know would question breast-feeding their baby. My comment about various human-originated food products was in jest, and I didn't mean to start a discussion about the dietary value of any human-product.

Eclectcmoi, I wasn't talking about the main dish, I was talking about appetizers... I hadn't even considered desert, but now I'm curious!

Mind is now in very large gutter.... I thought I was looking at dessert . You know have the dessert first , just incase you don't have room for it later

 

As a result of this thread, I rented Blast from the Past with Alicia Silverstone, Brendan Fraser (George of the Jungle), Sissy Spacek (no longer young and hot --sigh!--), and Christopher Walken. A silly but fun movie.
