Read about it here. This is not a Zaino-only product; you can find similar things in a decent auto parts store.

I haven’t found any difficulty in cleaning the windshield of the Prius. I do not need any special tools or products. (I also do not have extra long arms.) Actually I think the Prius is one of easiest to clean of all the cars I have owned. I just use a little Windex and a clean cloth and it works great. No streaks or smudges.

Like kn6vv said I also use a little Joy added to water. I spread a bath towel on the dash so no water drips and then use a 6" Ettore squeegee (Home Depot sells them) and squeegee off the majority of window and then wipe the spots I couldn't get to. This will take off all residue. You can hold a small towel under the squeegee to catch most of the water. Also you should lead with the end of the squeegee that overlaps the dry side.

I am tall and do have gorilla arms (mostly hairless). It doesn't matter. I still have a hard time with the windshield. I used to be a fanatic about clean windows. Can't remember the last time I cleaned mine lately. People with Lamborghinis probably have the same problem, but they also have "people" to do it for them. :)

I doubt that, I only shower twice a day. I get cheap towels at Wally World, but they do claim to be 100% cotton.

FWIW, Zaino frowns on such towels

Most consumer cleaners have perfumes and weird surfactants that actually leave a haze/film behind. The commercial products like Zep usually don't. Also possible the microfiber cloth had a treatment too, leaving a haze behind

I bought one of those Glass Wizards at Bed Bath and Beyond this morning ( forgot the coupon). It works really well and with only plain water. While in the store, I also picked up a microfiber duster on a handle. That also works really well on the dash.

I am doing everything wrong according to them! I use the "Absorber" chamois, the California water blade thing, and then I wipe off my Zaino when I wax with a microfiber towel. I also use Windex on the windows with a paper towel! I really need to "tighten up". This is sad. However, I will go to Bed, Bath, and Wherever, to get the window cleaner. :)

"Invisible Glass" brand aerosol foam, as advertised in Popular Science.

Cheap disposable cloths sold in rolls at Target.

    Pas de probleme.

Several years ago I owned a Celica. We had the windows tinted and approximately 6 years later we had lots of bubbles on the windows especially the back window. When we purchased new Toyota (of course) vehicles, we went to a pretty well-known company to install the tinted windows. He said you should never use a cleaner with ammonia on a tinted window because that is what would eventually bubble the car. Since then we have used Windex or whatever brand outside, but purchased the ammonia free cleaner on the inside and have never had any more bubbling.

Thanks for the tip for that tool at Bed Bath & Beyond. Does the Invisible Glass cleaner have ammonia? Some of your tips included using Joy in water using a squeegee, we use this method on our house windows and don't have any streaking. Maybe with a towel to catch the water, this might be the best bet.

Here's what works for me - it's cheap and very effective. Terry cloth staining pads (used to apply stain to wood) and a small amount of dish washing soap in water. The staining pads are actually 4" X 5" sponges covered with a soft terry cloth material. They are available at any home improvement or hardware store, and cost only a couple bucks for a package of 4. Add only 2 or 3 drops (more is not better here) of dishwashing detergent (the liquid kind for hand washing) to a 16 oz squirt bottle of water. A few squirts of this solution on each side of a staining pad will make it wet enough but not drippy. The flexibility and size of the pad will allow you to easily reach all parts of your windshield. Use soft paper towels to dry it off. Simply rinse out the pad when finished. Works really well on the dashboard itself (no wiping off required), along with door sills, cup holders, etc. You'll be amazed at the results and save some money too.

Evan, I bought the Glass Master. The handle has a screw-in part so you can put in standard extensions. I bought the Invisible Glass (it comes in bottles and also in spray on cans at Auto Dealers). I use the long handle for the outside windows. I also use shorter extensions for the inside windows. The Glass Master comes with bonnets and I'll get some extras while the soiled ones are washing/drying.

No more streaking, no more contortions to get the inside window done.

Evan, I appreciate your suggestons. The hood (for the display) works well, but I didn't affix it with the velcro. I put it under the cover for the dashboard and it stays fine --- sometimes I need to lift it up to see the top of the display and I can do that.

They sell these either at Bed Bath and Beyond or Linens and Things, I bought one for some odd shaped house windows. They have a dedicated "as seen on TV" section. Sorry, I always confuse those 2 stores, just like Home Depot Base.

Of course, if you want something made specifically for car windows try....

    www.windwon.com

a little longer handle, more comfortable to use, and less expensive (depending on where you buy). Of course it won't be available at Bed Bath and Beyond because it's not made for house windows...strictly about autos.

i've heard there was a technique with newspaper that you can use that cleans the glass really well. Almost a secret because it would render all glass products obselete, never the less I just use the super hot water as much as you can stand with a clean white towel. Clean and then apply the product "GLANCE" for the shine. Do each window in succession, since you need to apply the "GLANCE" asap before dust starts collecting on the fresh new window you just cleaned.

    Newspaper. Windex.

I like to use the travel section particularly because of the imported picomicropaperfiber and gibblyjooblie print font. The windex should only be applied with a stainless steel atomizer and I like to polish that up before I use it as well. For that job I also like to use newspaper and windex, but you can see how this becomes problematic, like a recurring decimal. For those hard to reach places I often find myself exerting a little extra pressure toward the finger tips. When all else fails I switch newspaper sections. I find the front page and domestic news disintigrates pretty quickly under the scrutiny of a little elbow grease, and it's not until I utilize those sections with a more worldly perspective that that darn oily, smeary stuff starts detatching itself from my windshield.
Yeah, newspaper and windex. And that's no joke.

Just received my Windshield Wonder and it's a nice solution. Quality construction, and the design gives great leverage while being very comfortable to use. Does a perfect job in no time.

No relation, just a satisfied customer, etc.
