On our way home from a family vacation in NYC we stopped at the Clara Barton rest area on the NJ turnpike. We saw an identical Seaside Blue Prius and parked next to it for a photo op (see attached). While sitting inside the resteraunt I notice 2 men walk up to our Prius and try to open the door. After a couple of attempts and some puzzled looks on their faces one of them looks at our VA tag and realizes they were trying to get into the wrong car. To the owner of the Seaside Blue Prius with the NY tags: if you were on the NJ turnpike this past Monday and frequent PC, sorry for the confusion.

One more reason to do a serious job of customizing the exterior of your Prius. I have mistaken other cars for mine with all three of my previous cars. Not gonna happen this time. Unless Starfleet decides a "surge" is needed.

I did that once with my salsa red 05. Walked up to the wrong one in a Home Depot parking lot in So Cal. But then again there are a crap load more Prius out here compared to NY/NJ.
After we bought our blue Prius, I realized that like 5 other people at our church has a blue one too... I'm sure we'll have this confusion on Sundays sooner or later...
ahem...... *blush*....... i tried to get in a grey prius when we walked out of a store..... was getting TICKED that my key fob wasn't unlocking the damned door! then i realized.... "oops.... not MY prius!" i now have "jack" on my antenna..... so my baby is easier to pick out in a crowd! lol!
Trim rings off + mud guards + rear gate bumper guard makes mine distinctive from any other red I see. Mine is usually cleaner too ... I still park next to them just for giggles though. Doc Willie, I wouldn't mistake yours for mine, but that might not stop me from trying to get away with yours
